Can the AI Assistant create or modify tables, columns, views, or access rules?

The Assistant cannot create or modify tables, columns, views, or access rules. It also doesn’t know if you’ve selected something.

It can answer questions about your data, create or modify records, and help with formulas. It also knows which page you’re viewing.

Is the legacy AI Formula Assistant no longer available?

The legacy AI Formula Assistant has been replaced by the new Assistant on getgrist.com and for Enterprise users, but remains for self-hosters and as part of grist-core.
